Inspired by a friend's photo-a-day project. (Not that I need a reason for photographing whatever strikes my fancy.) Also, an invitation to more often observe and consider what unfolds daily.
No wonder people love bulbs - they come back even after a week of snow! (Actually, probably because of the week of snow.) I didn't plant these as bulbs, but was given some plants from a friend with a really green thumb. These will turn into orange lilies.
I used to think of what's behind this fence as just a vacant lot, until the weeks around the Super Bowl, when a sponsor took over half our work parking lot for an event. Now that the field has been restored to its normal state, it's a sea of calm open space.
An interesting sculpture in a building where I had an appointment this morning. This part sits on a black base that has several smooth waterfalls gliding over its edges.
This is a closeup of some of the ice on our back sidewalk on Wednesday. It started as freezing rain, so is very bumpy and slick. Driving to work was fun that day. I'm very relieved that most ice has melted and temperatures are going to be much warmer in coming days.
Michael gives a "thumbs up" to microbiology lab. His glove leaked and he's got a purple finger from the microscope stain they were using. At least it's not e-coli.
