Inspired by a friend's photo-a-day project. (Not that I need a reason for photographing whatever strikes my fancy.) Also, an invitation to more often observe and consider what unfolds daily.
I know I bought at least three rolls of paper towels in preparation for the move and I don't think we used them all, so why was this roll so hard to find?
Stumped on a photo for today, so here's my favorite portion of one I took last summer, which I'm using as a desktop image on my computer. I don't remember if I was intentionally aiming to catch the bee, but it delights me to see it there.
First injury in the new place. Well, actually made by the rental car during the move. Michael got caught in the head when the hatchback cover - which had been stuck - finally snapped out towards him.
We didn't pick the coolest time of year to move, but I think we'll survive. The temperature in my car actually read 115 degrees when I first got in but dropped three degrees by the time I got the camera ready.
Exciting day - the parade celebrating the Mavericks' NBA win - right outside my office window. We had to get to work a couple hours early because they were expecting about 250,000 people to attend. Note the sea of people who braved the heat to see the parade, including Mark Cuban holding the trophy.
Temporary key to our new place. The other one the landlord had was also pink but shaped more like an acoustic guitar. The locks were re-keyed and now we have shiny, though very normal keys. (It's a little sad.)
