March 19, 2011 - Day 373

This was called a "super full moon" or "perigee moon"- the biggest in almost 20 years, due to the shape of its orbit. I thought it would be bigger, but it was still pretty, and the clouds made for quite a show.

March 18, 2011 - Day 372

Ducky weather for spring break. Temperatures finally acting like spring.

March 17, 2011 - Day 371

I noticed the other day that this rock looks a little like an ear.

March 16, 2011 - Day 370

I gave Michael a hard time when he said that Leo kind of scared him when he opened the mud room door and saw him sitting there. (He looks like a dog out of the corner of your eye.) But I have to admit that a couple of times I have almost been a bit startled.

March 15, 2011 - Day 369

I have no idea what kind of tree this is, but have been enjoying that the blooms are more than one color.

March 14, 2011 - Day 368

Today was windy and cool, following a short but intense thunderstorm that rolled through the neighborhood about 1:45 a.m. My first memory is a flash of lightning that seemed to come from within the room, followed by a very large "kaboom" that rattled the windows. Luckily, the storm passed in 10 minutes so I could go back to sleep.

March 13, 2011 - Day 367

Birthday flowers from Michael. They were the brightest part of my day because it was cloudy and dark.

March 12, 2011 - Day 366

We took a walk through the (in)famous neighborhood St. Patrick's Day block party. I'm told that many years ago it was more like a family festival. Now it seems to be more of an occasion to drink beer starting at 10 a.m. while wearing green.

March 11, 2011 - Day 365

Cute dog we saw on our walk. "Hey, let me out - I want to play!"

March 10, 2011 - Day 364

Best cat toy ever. It's about 6 feet tall. I have always thought it to be a strange decor piece, though.
