In the office building where the eye doctor is, there's a staircase that always has strange plantings. These look like something you'd see at the aquarium.

While sitting and just watching the day end, I noticed these tiny sprigs of green in a spot with no grass. I wonder whether it's baby grass or another type altogether.

It's amazing that after just a few days of rain, yards that looked yellow and practically dead now are green again.

This morning I had help getting dressed - someone warmed up my shoes and shirt.

The cooler temperatures and the rain have made wearing boots seem like a reasonable thing to do. A few weeks ago that wouldn't have seemed likely to be any time soon.

I'm impressed by how much these solar powered lights help, even on a mostly cloudy day (though they stay lit much later into the night when the day was sunny).
