Inspired by a friend's photo-a-day project. (Not that I need a reason for photographing whatever strikes my fancy.) Also, an invitation to more often observe and consider what unfolds daily.

April 8, 2010 - Day 28
When I got home this afternoon there was a lot of activity in the elm tree. I knew these birds weren't finches or sparrows because I could see their bellies, which are a pretty yellow. They're cedar waxwings and are likely flitting around, hanging upside down, nearly falling off branches because they're eating bugs. There were dozens of them. I saw this once in San Antonio and there were hundreds.
