The summer has not been kind to yards this year. Ours is still green, and maybe looks even more so because the ones on either side are yellow.

I'm hopeful that this morning's rain and these puffy afternoon clouds support the chances that this weekend's forecast - rain and a high temperature below 100 - may come true.
Laura's lantana is bright and pretty. Since I was a kid I always liked this plant's multi-colored blooms.
The entrance to an electronics store that resides in what I'm convinced was previously a country and western dance hall. Of course, the more frightening may also be true - that they decorated this way intentionally. Inside is even stranger.
Sadly, you don't see as many men wearing ties as you once did.
A colleague gave me this, with the advice that it might not be the best way to transport a project to a meeting. I guess not everyone would find this funny.
Tom and Jen are hosting a boy kitten whose owner is on vacation. He's pretty energetic and a little ferocious!
